- Prepare 1 can chickpea 560gms…or… (soak 1/2 kg chickpeas overnight next day boil with sufficient water with 1 tsp baking soda,1 tsp salt)

- Take 2 blanche tomatoes
- Take 3 green chillies
- Take 1 tbsn black tea
- Take 2 bay leaves
- Get 2 cinnamon sticks
- Take 2 cardamom
- Prepare 1 black cardamom
- Make ready Dry masala:
- Get 2tbsn chole masala
- Get 2 tbsn red chilli powder
- Get 1 tbsn coriander powder
- Take 1 tsp turmeric
- Make ready 1 tsp salt
- Make ready 1 tsp carrom seeds
- Make ready 3 tbsn oil
- Prepare TEMPERING
- Take 4 tbsn ghee
- Make ready 3 sliced garlic
- Make ready 3 red chillies
- Make ready 1 tbsn chole masala
- Make ready 1 tsp asafoedida powder
- Take Bhature:
- Get 2 cups all-purpose flour
- Take 2 tbsn semolina
- Get 1 tbsn curd
- Get 1 tsp salt
- Get 1 tsp baking powder
- Take 1 cup hot water from boiled potatoes and some warm water
Ingredients of Punjabi Style Chole Bhature: With a host of. 'Chole Bhature' is a hindi phrase, and in that 'Chole' aka 'Chana' is a spicy and tangy chickpea curry. The fried flatbreads are called bhature/bhatura. I am so much in love with this fried food Chole Bhature. The combination of 'Chickpea Curry' and 'Fried Flatbreads' is known as 'Chole Bhature'.
Steps to make Chole Bhature π:
- I'm use a canned chickpeas.first heat 2 cups of water add 1 tbsn of black tea with bay leaves,cardamom, black cardamom and stick of cinnamon…boil for 5 mins.. strain and save the water to add in gravy.
- Grind the masala(pic1)heat oil,then add 1 tsp of carrom seeds(ajwain)let it crackle then add the grind masala
- Now add chole masala(any brand) red chilli powder,coriander powder,turmeric and saute for few minutes
- Now add the chickpeas and mix,then add grated boiled potatoes and saute few seconds then add the tea strain water and now mix well and Cook on medium flame…crush some chickpeas.
- Heat ghee… add in red chilli,garlic,chole masala,asafoedida powder..when garlic is turned slightly brown temper the chickpeas curry,garnish with some chopped coriander leaves.
- Knead the dough as per Ingredients as above-mentioned…keep in a warm place for 5 mins…make small dough balls,roll it into flat bread
