But, fresh fenugreek leaves is by far my favorite. These leaves are very healthy with a pungent taste. As Methi leaves are highly pungent, it can be sauté in oil to remove the raw smell. Methi leaves helps to lower the cholesterol level and high blood pressure.
Instructions to make Fenugreek leaves and vegetable pulav:
- Add oil in the kadai, when it’s hot add cumin seeds, onion, tomato, garlic and ginger paste.
- Then add grinded methi leaves stem and green chillies paste and pepper powder
- When oil is separated, add rice and chopped vegetables, chopped fenugreek leaves.
- Add 500 ml of water. After it’s done. Garnish with coriander leaves
Methi pulav makes a healthy rice dish with goodness of methi/fenugreek leaves. Wash methi leaves and chop them finely. Or you may puree them if you wish. Cooking fenugreek rice - methi pulav In a pan, heat oil/butter. Add chopped onions if adding and fry until transparent.
