- In a wok take fenugreek seeds wash it and add 1/2 cup water,1/2 tsp salt.boil it for 2-3 minutes on high flame. then turn off the flame and leave the seeds in water for half hour.then strain the water.keep the water in a bowl for later use to cook khichdi
- Now in another wok boil the rice with two cups of water add 1 tsp salt or as your taste.cook the rice 70% then strain the water.keep rice aside.
- In a pressure cooker add oil heat it.then add onion slices and saute,when it turns light brown add ginger garlic paste saute few seconds then add curry leaves,green chillies,saute one minute then add boiled fenugreek seeds add little salt and mix all.stir occasionally and cooked for 3-4 minutes.now add cooked rice and boil fenugreek water then pressure cook for one whistle.release the pressure naturally.serve hot.
