Beetroot Idli is one of the most popular of recent trending meals in the world. It is appreciated by millions daily. It’s simple, it’s quick, it tastes yummy. Beetroot Idli is something which I have loved my entire life. They are fine and they look fantastic.

Mix the idli batter + grated beetroot well. Heat the steamer with water in it. Grease the idli moulds with oil and pour enough batter in the moulds.

You can use paneer instead of tofu. On snacks box —>Boiled salted sweetcorn. I added grated beetroot in idli batter and made mini idlies. I cubed paneer into small bites.

  1. First of all wash the beetroot and cut into pieces. And then blend beetroot pieces to make a fine paste of it by adding little water and keep aside with other ingredients.
  2. Now take a idli mix in a big bowl and add water, cumin powder and mix well. - Now add beetroot pulp and again mix it nicely.
  3. Grease idli plates and pour a ladle full of mixed batter in the idli plates. - Steam cook the idlies for approximately 15 minutes. - You can check it by using knife.
  4. Remove the idlies from the idli plates serve hot with beetroot coconut chutney, basic coconut chutney & sambar.
